Swissport International AG
Global Brand Refresh

A bit about Swissport...
Swissport International AG is the world’s leading independent provider of airport ground and air cargo services.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered near Zurich, Switzerland, the company now operates at 270+ airports across more than 40 countries. Swissport supports airlines by managing ground operations — from passenger check-in and ramp handling to freight logistics and lounge hospitality — helping ensure smooth, safe, and efficient travel worldwide.
My mission...
Before August 2024, Swissport’s brand presence was functional but inconsistent, with varied visual styles across regions and touchpoints.
Working with Swissport meant evolving a brand for one of the world’s largest aviation services companies—where scale, complexity, and legacy shape every decision. Collaborating closely with the CCO and VP of Marketing, I developed a deep understanding of the business, its operational realities, and its long-term Vision 2030 goals. When I joined, the brand leaned heavily on operational messaging but lacked a cohesive narrative and a modern visual voice. Rather than a full rebrand, the challenge was to carefully develop the identity—strengthening what already worked while introducing clearer styling principles, a more confident tone of voice, and a unified look and feel across digital and print. By establishing shared brand narratives that ground messaging and strategic goals, Swissport can now communicate with greater clarity and consistency across all outputs, better reflecting the company’s global expertise, ambition, and long-established authority.

Brand implementation...
For a company of Swissport’s scale, careful consideration of rollout was essential. To support adoption and ensure alignment across the business, brand assets were introduced in structured phases.
To ensure consistency, I built the following corporate assets:
-
Brand guidelines (visual identity, tone of voice, usage principles)
-
Corporate templates (PowerPoint, Word, internal documents, including legal documentation)
-
Company reports and presentations
-
Employer brand and corporate messaging frameworks
-
Photography and illustration style systems
-

-
Social media templates
-
Brand updates to internal platforms
